The other day a 5th grader asked me, "what is the worst thing that has happened to you Mr. Billy." After I told him. He told me the worst thing which had happened to him and it not only spoke about him, but about our nation. 

# 1 Problem in America

What is the number 1 problem in America, or what is one of the top ills in this nation. Hi: I'm Billy David Dickson with A thought on the Bible.

Somebody does ( a thought for young people )

Teens, pre-teens, and young people do you ever think no one cares cares. Somebody does.

Condemning another

Hi friends: Should we condemn people. I'm Billy David Dickson with a thought on the Bible. I believe most of us if not all of us would agree we should not condemn others. Sadly some are condemning someone in a high position.

Submitting

It tells us in Romans chapter 13, check it out, all authority has been established by the Lord. It doesn't matter if the leader is a parent, a teacher, your pastor, or a government leader.

When the umpire is wrong and when a leader makes a mistake ( thought on the Bible for children )

Later that night Bobby tells his dad he knew he was safe. What should young Robert do boys, and girls ? What about you ? How do you act when your teacher gives you a bad grade, when you think you deserved a better mark. What if your parents are wrong in punishing you. Or they were right to punish you, but they did it in a harsh way

Teens, and pre-teens I challenge you to get grounded this Summer

What happens when you get in trouble with your parents, or with anyone who is in charge of you. Perhaps you got in trouble at school, or you came home after your curfew, or you talked back to your folks. What might happen to you. Well your dad, or mom, or your legal guardian might say those deadly words you are grounded young man, young lady. What if I encouraged you to go get grounded this Summer.

A Good Friday spanking

What happened on Good Friday? We will get to that in a second. When I was kid there was a Disney movie called Tom Swayer. If you have never seen it ask your parents about it, or ask their permission to get the DVD, or watch it on You Tube. In part of the movie the kid Tom, and a girl named Becky Thatcher are writing notes on their slates to each other,while the teacher's back is turned.
